Bersher Decorative Art Tiles

From Bedford, New Hampshire, we offer beautiful Besheer Art Tiles.

These tiles are backed with cork and four felt pads to enable use as a trivet.  They also are outfitted with a small brass hook, if you would rather hang them. Either way, they are a beautiful accessory.  Most of those below can be paired with one or more similar pieces to make a nice set of tiles.

100% of all sales go directly to fund local history lectures and preservation projects in Somerville.

These art tiles are inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement of the 1800s.

During the Victorian era, circa 1839-1901, a new artistic expression emerged.  Leaves, flowers, vines, and other botanical elements were combined wth geometric forms in a graceful flare.  Furniture, rugs, glassware, wallpaper, and many other decorative accents all reflected this attractive and impressive decorative art. Important artists of this period include the Audsleys, Morris, Dresser, and Klimsch.
