WE CAN'T FORGET

This memorial of etched granite lists the name, regiment, place and date of death of those who died in the Vietnam War from Somerville on one side, and those who died from Cambridge on the other.  One end of a granite pyramid is etched with a map of Vietnam in 1957 and the other, a map of Vietnam in 1972. 

The plaque shown above is dedicated to the memory of the departed members and women of Union Square Post no. 377 American Legion. It was formerly situated in Union Square but was moved to Central Hill in 2007, where it will remain as part of the newly created "Memorial Park".
